Romantic Restaurants in New York

You don’t need a reason to take your partner out for a romantic dinner for two. In fact, you’ll get more credit if it’s spontaneous. Either that or they’ll ask what you’ve done wrong. And if it’s your anniversary, Valentines Day, a birthday or any other romantic occasion you’d damn well better have booked somewhere special. Preferably dimly lit, where you can play footsie under the table, gaze longingly into each others eyes, whisper sweet nothings, and perhaps share a dessert before heading back to your romantic hotel.

Daniel

One of New York’s finest restaurants for nearly 30 years. Daniel is the creation of famed French chef Daniel Boulud. Enjoy a four-course seasonal prix fixe menu or a tasting menu in one of the finest restaurants in America.

If you like large plates with tiny food, you’ll love Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare. Don’t worry the tasting menu style means they bring enough tiny plates you won’t leave hungry. It’s an experience as much as a meal, and while it costs well over $400 a head (plus service & drinks) it’s actually worth it. This romantic restaurant has 3 Michelin Stars, and that means every part of the dining experience is perfect.

Le Bernardin

At Le Bernardin they’ve managed to hold 3 Michelin stars for 10 consecutive years. If only your husband was that reliable! Seriously good seafood, innovative and perfectly prepared. It’s also the the best value of the 3 starred restaurants in New York. One of the finest restaurants anywhere in the world. Even the most high maintenance partner should be impressed.
