Snorkelling in the Maldives was an experience I will never forget. My partner and I held hands as we dove into the crystal clear water of the lagoon. Moments after we hit the water, we were surrounded by a kaleidoscope of colourful tropical fish and vibrant coral. The staff at the resort later told us that some of the fish we saw were called parrot fish, angelfish and butterfly fish, each more beautiful than the last.

As we swam deeper into the lagoon, we came across a sea turtle gracefully gliding through the water. It was an incredible sight to behold, but the excitement didn’t stop there. Suddenly, a reef shark appeared out of nowhere, and while the staff at the resort later told us that they are harmless, at the time I was terrified. My partner quickly swam between me and the shark, shielding me with his body. I clung to him trembling but also excited, aroused by his bravery. As the shark harmlessly swam away I made a mental note to reward him for it later.

The whole experience was truly magical and I couldn’t help but feel incredibly lucky to be able to share it with my partner. It was the time of my life, and I knew that we would treasure the memories forever. As we climbed the ladder back up to our infinity pool, I stopped to take one last look at the lagoon. As I turned around, I caught my partner looking at my behind and laughed. He playfully smacked it and I pretended to be annoyed but secretly loved it.
As we got off the ladder, I pulled him into the private shower on the deck. He helped me peel off my swimsuit and we washed the salt off each other’s bodies, taking care of each other in the most intimate way.

After we finished showering, we stepped out and dried each other off with the softest towels I’ve ever felt. As we got dressed, we made plans to dine at the resort’s underwater restaurant. I couldn’t wait to continue the romantic journey with my partner and make memories that would last a lifetime. The Maldives was truly an unforgettable experience, and I was grateful to have shared it with my partner.
